The white, blinding sand of Whitehaven Beach is the ultimate place to wiggle your toes in the warm turquoise water. There are 74 picturesque tropical islands in the Whitsundays, the largest of which is Whitsunday Island, which stretches for seven kilometers.
This pristine beach boasts the world’s cleanest silica sand, considered among the finest in the world. Hill Inlet is located at the northern end of the beach and it is a picturesque inlet where the constantly shifting tides create a beautiful fusion of colors. You can see the swirling sands of Hill Inlet from the Tongue Point lookout.
